Wire Weaving Class
Wildacres Retreat / September 15 - 21
I was very excited to be invited back to Wildacres
Retreat to teach this coming September. This year, I will be
teaching wire w eaving and Don will be teaching
wire knotting and
braiding.
This year I have planned for 8 projects. I
may add a couple of optional projects for those who want more as I
have done before.
We will start out with a little basket to leaarn
basic weaving techniques. From there we will progress to 7
more jewelry projects.
Projects will include:
- Basket

- Nalbinding Chain
- Nalbinding Bezel
- Woven Bezel 1
- Woven Bezel 2
- Matching Woven Earrings
and Bracelet
- Woven Ring
Class Size - Maximum 6
Lab fee $10 for handouts, etc.
Project fees are to be $125 for
8 projects (Based on $16.8 silver market)

Materials possibly needed
I
will provide stones as needed for the projects. I will also
have some beads and stones on hand for purchase if you desire,
but for those who like to embellish with beads, I would suggest
you bring a selection of your own beads too.
Pre-req. - Wire experience or
fiber experience is helpful but not necessary.
Bio
Louise Coulson has had a checkered career as a teacher, weaver, jewelry
artisan and website developer. She and her husband have moved from one
construction project to another for 38 years, hence the checkered career.
She uses her background as a weaver as the basis for her jewelry designs. The wire is woven,
twisted, coiled and braided to create one-of-a-kind or limited-edition pieces.
Her eBook, Website ShowCase is an artisan's guide for website development,
maintenance and marketing. She is webmaster for the

www.knottedjewelry.com and the
www.jewelryspectrum.com websites.
She is an exhibiting member of the Craftsmen's Guild of
Mississippi.
