Workbench Log - October 2006

10/26/06

Amy and I went to Tahiti and then on to Moorea.  She had the trip set up and I got to go too.  We swam dolphins and sting rays and Amy went diving with the sharks.  What a trip!

I found interesting plant weaves and we will translate them into wire weaves for the Tahitian collection.

This is the first pendant I have done in silver using this technique.  I learned a lot.  You shouldn't try to weave with square - it gives an odd look.  However, maybe later I will be better at weaving and find that it works.

This one is 2 1/2 inches tall and I still want to get them a little smaller.  There are things I like about the pendant and things I don't like.  I suppose they are all that way.  I kept wanting to finish it so i could try some other ideas and fix the problems I saw on this one.
