Workbench Log - September 2008

Blue Bluff was a great success.  The copper does really well and people are quite drawn to it.

We can't show too much or it gets confusing.

The table covers are saggy in the middle.  Looks as if I need to shorten the hem on them.

Here is a collection of the Elements bracelets.  They are flame painted and patina in several different ways.

They are a lot of work, and I am having some problems pricing them.

I would hate to try making them without a good raft of tools.

Don is flame painting a copper bracelet here.  The colors are wonderful, but sometimes they don't stay when we spray them to seal the piece.

We will have done 125 bracelets in 2 weeks.

Talk about a shift in gears.  We are making copper flame painted and patina bracelets for the Blue Bluff Festival.  We need a line of nice jewelry that you can sell at street shows.

The rolling mill is used to texture the work. All of the other tools are those we have collected over the years just for this sort of task.

Very interesting work, but hard work too.
