These are some of the bypass rings. We are working
on rings that can be worn by a variety of people and will
work for folks with large knuckles to go over.
We bought a little desk at the second hand store and
bolted the rolling mill to it. I hope to have some
pictures of some of the neat things Don has been making with
the rolling mill soon.
I took all of these bad photos - when put them on the
Kingfisher site, Don will do the photography and they will
look so much better

New York City
12/27/06
Our trip to the diamond district in NYC was today.
We went down by train and then took the subway around - over
to the World Trade Center for a while then to 47th Street.
It was a quick trip but so worth it.
It was an eye popping experience to see the jewelry.
I had no idea there were so many giant colored diamonds in
the world.
We went to Zak's Tools and found both our rolling mill
and our bench shear. We have a lot of plans for both
of the large tools. We also had a few small tools we
needed.

Solstice
12/21/06
This is one of my least favorite days of the year.
The shortest day with the least sun. But that means
that tomorrow will be the beginning of longer days. So
maybe we will have a Solstice party.
Very exciting. We have tickets to go to NYC on the
Wednesday after Christmas. We will visit a jewelry
supplier or two and maybe even get a chance to go to the
museum of Natural History or something. It will be fun
to travel on the train.

Finishing Projects
12/18/06
Lesson learned - don't make a bunch of kits for things.
Just cut and make the pieces one by one. I had about a
dozen filigree adjustable rings cut from scrap and decided
to put them together. Too much for the hands and
wrists.
Also had cut several elephant hair bracelets from silver
and decided they are not logical to make because of the
amount of wire they take. Those will be something else
I think.

Metalwerx Workshop
12/14/06
Good grief. I had no idea it was already mid
December and I hadn't written anything in so long. We
went to a workshop at Metalwerx and it was great. 2
days of jewelry making with access to any tool imaginable.
Couldn't be better.
Don made a great spinner ring with rivets on the spinner
with a signal on it - we will be introducing them on the
Kingfisher site soon. What a great idea he had.
