Workbench Log - April / May 2006

5/30/06

One thing we did do while we were on the farm was get a kitten.  Her name is Sassy and she is a live wire.  She is so playful.  Foggy was never this way.  He is more laid back and cuddly.

It should have been a tough choice, but she has so much personality.

We moved out to the farm in Gray Court, SC to care for the animals while the owner was away.  It was an interesting experience but left time for only writing and very little jewelry making.  It was an enjoyable experience on the whole and a learning experience for me.  While I admire those who can work on a farm all of their life, I don't think it is for me.

Did a trunk show with other crafters at Don's company.  We did amazingly well considering it was only 2 hours.  Sold several woven bracelets.

The setup went together very quickly and traveled easily.  We need to add a panel on the back side of the drawer unit.  Lighting worked ok, but not that good at the back of the shelf.

It was an enjoyable show and people were in a buying mood.

All of April was devoted to writing and rewriting the book, getting it online and setting up the pages for selling it.
