Workbench Log - July 2007

7/25/07

I have been working on the outline for the class at Wildacres.  It covers the projects, resources, ergonomics and safety.  After working it out, it appears that I won't be needing a pile of tools and jigs to make the pieces.  Now I need to fill out the outline, make the photographs and weave the sample pieces to be ready in about 6 weeks.

It has been a very busy month of travel, work and writing, I am still trying to edit ShowCase for artisans and now it is time to get ready for the classes at Wildacres.

I need good handouts, so I am trying to draw out the steps and operations as well as possible.

This is a nalbinding bezel on a Genesis Stone.  It looks a little like a cross between malachite and azurite, but I bought two from Vista Gems and she called them Genesis Stones.

I am trying to decide whether to teach this one or a woven bezel.  I think the woven bezel might be better since it canbe expanded more than this one.
